The image of the band/artist

The posts below are a sample of the sort if thing you need to be exploring to get a sense of the image of the band/artist. TV interviews and magazine front covers are great examples - as you explore them consider the following:
-what programme/magazine do they appear in/on and what does this tell us (think about the target market here).
- what sort of questions are asked and what answers are given - are the band quite open and chatty or more reserved and quiet?
- what relationship is developed between the host and the band?
- how do the band/artist present themselves - how are they dressed/positioned etc

All this will help you really consider the IMAGE the band/artist is trying to cultivate.

Summer Holidays

Ok, so I have disappeared as I have been struggling with an internet connection - I will endeavour to start posting more regularly again so keep checking. You should be working hard over the summer - remember you need to come back in September and be clear about the genre, style and artist you are working with. Your blog should already have aroud 20 - 25 posts by the time we start back in September. Don't worry about the planning too me uch - focus on the research section.
