Director Study

This week you should be working on your own filming project - remember all the filimg techniques you know and get used to practicing them again. What you need to put on the blog as your evidence is:
  • the original film
  • an explanation of why you chose the video to re-create, what motivated the choice?
  • your version of the video
  • an evaluation of the final piece covering; what issues you encountered, what was most difficult, what you need to revise/revisit and targets for your next piece.
All this needs to be on the blog by Monday 24th June. By Monday you need to have at least three entries on the blog:
1. The history of the music video.
2. A study of a music video director.
3. The first filming project of your own.

The History of MTV

12th June
The History of the Music Video
So this week the notes you have made on the history of the music video need to go onto your Blog - but REMEMBER I don't want to read 30 blogs that are the same. Find an area that interests you can do some extra research into it.
  • history of MTV
  • the soundies
  • technological developements
  • trace the history of a group or artist
  • the impact of youtube
  • the hisroty of a gener of music and it's related videos
These are all further areas you could research. Make your blog your own - it needs to reflect your research not just lesson notes. Also, you are media students, embed clips, discuss the impact of them don;t just waffle without supporting your ideas.
